Yep, and it's still just Bob & Alice! We are a small company & intend to stay
this way; the reason is quite simple ~ we care about what we are doing! We do not want to become so large that we cannot take care of the average hunter. |
The most common praise we hear from customers, after they see us at a show, talk with us on the phone, or correspond with us via e-mail, is: "I can't believe that you spent so much time with me to make sure I was getting the right knife for the job"! It is our desire for our customers to be pleased with their purchase. We want to converse with you, because a handcrafted knife is an investment in your hunting pleasure, and a treasure in your equipment collection! |
Your Legler Knife is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the knife. This warranty does not include failure due to abuse by the user, and is limited to replacement or repair of the knife at the sole discretion of Legler Knives. Repair is defined as replacement of handle materials, and or regrinding of the blade. Your Legler Knives Warranty includes re-buffing, provided the knife is returned, shipping pre-paid, to us at the address listed below, with a check to cover return
shipping charges to the customer. Legler Knives assumes no responsibility
or liability whatsoever for the use of this product. "Life of the Knife"
shall be defined as the useable portion of the blade. This is the only
warranty provided, and supersedes any and all other warranties either expressed or implied. Sheaths carry no warranty, due to the materials used. Legler Knives 5518 Glenwood Avenue Mission, KS 66202 The address above is not a retail showroom. If you wish to view our knives in person, you will have to see us at a show. |
About handcrafted knives ~ Our handcrafted knives are just that... they are handcrafted! Each one is an individual knife crafted by Bob Legler. When you place an order for a handcrafted Legler Knife (provided the knife is not in stock), Bob has to make that knife specifically for you, and Alice must make the sheath. Sometimes, material shortages, show schedules, even something as simple as the flu can delay the shipping of your order. There is no "machine" that we chuck the materials into, and the perfect finished product ejects out of a chute. There's not a crew of people sitting at a long bench completing your knife ("They" is us... just Bob & Alice!). So rest assured, your knife is indeed truly special! |
Legler Knives are made of the highest quality high-carbon 440c stainless steel, hardened to 57-59 Rc, for maximum edge retention, without becoming hard to sharpen. Our average customer field dresses 4 to 6 deer before having to re-sharpen the knife; of course, this depends on how you use the knife; if you cut paper or cardboard, the edge is not going to last as long! Each of our knives is unique; especially those in our Southwest Series. If you don't already own one, or haven't dealt with us before, please be sure to check out our entire website. One of our primary goals is to keep our knives affordable, while maintaining a high level of quality and durability. We build these knives to be used by real people, in the real woods! All of our knives carry a limited Lifetime Warranty ~ because we believe in our product. We were hunters before we were knifemakers! We do not offer our knives wholesale; we are the manufacturer and retailer; there are no middlemen. When you purchase a Legler Knife, you have dealt with the makers...US! |

"We got the package. Your work is so beautiful! We are so excited and can't wait to use them! :) We have shown the knives and sheaths to all our neighbors. It is really cool to see everyone's faces when we un-sheath them; they just light up! Thanks for all your help! Charles and Nikki H. Dallas, GA |
"She gave me the knife for Christmas. It sure is a beauty. I have shown
it to a few people and they love it, too. Everyone asks me if I use my
[Legler] knives and I say of course. They may look good, but they are meant
to be used. Is that California Buckeye Burl on the handle? It is
very impressive looking... thanks for another outstanding knife". Scott D. Madison, WI |
"Would it be possible for me to order a knife for my husband just like what we got for our four boys? When the knives came, Jerry said that he wished he had gotten one for himself... the knives for Roger, Jason, Craig, and Keith are absolutely magnificent... we could not be more pleased". Katie B. Trussville, AL |
"Just a note to let you know I received my shipment yesterday. Everything was
perfect (I really did not expect anything less). I'm sure that my boys
will be very pleased come Christmas morning". T. White Griffin, GA |
"I did receive the shipment; it arrived according to schedule... the person I had
ordered the knife for was very happy with it, and the knife I had ordered for
myself was exceptional, as well. I would like to say thank you very much
for being who you are and doing what you do"... "It seems very hard in today's world to find people companies or any service or product that will do what they say, when they say they will do it". "The customer service that I have received every time I have dealt with your company has been beyond exceptional! It's like calling a life-long friend; be it your first order, or your tenth order. And the superb quality of the product"... "I look forward to doing business with you in the future, and keep up the great work. Thank you very much for the special products that you produce, and the love and quality that goes into them". "I think everyone should have a knife this great, at least once in a life-time... okay, maybe twice"! J. Lentz White Lake, MI |
