When you call or e-mail us, you are not talking to an uncaring order clerk; you are talking to Bob or Alice. We are real people,
who have a very real interest in your order! So be kind!

When you call us, if the items that you desire, are in completed stock, your order can ship immediately! If you have e-mail, Alice will send you an "Order Confirmation" e-mail, for your review, prior to shipment.
As soon as you check the information, and send us back a "confirmation e-mail", we're "good to go"!
Now, if we need to build what you desire, we will check the schedule calendar, and assign your Special Order an approximate ship date.
Scheduling of Special Orders ~ Because we are making a handcrafted product, all scheduling is based on funded orders, i.e. "you do not have an order, or an approximate ship date until money changes hands". We schedule orders based on our current workload and our show schedule.
All of our approximate ship dates are in "timeframes" (usually by the month). Your order may be shipped anytime during the timeframe scheduled, and if you provide us with an e-mail address, we will send you an e-mail, advising shipment, once your order ships. If your order is traveling via Federal Express, we will include the Fed Ex tracking # for your reference.
"Must have" dates ~ If you need your knife by a specific date (like a birthday for instance!), please let us know at the time you place the order! We won't be able to change your schedule date several weeks after the order has been placed.
If we get cut, sick, or have material shortages, we can get temporarily behind. Should we see that your order may ship later than anticipated, we will contact you.

Shipping Charges ~
We ship all knives via Federal Express.

Our current per knife FedEx shipping charge is $11.95, for FedEx Ground Service. From our location, this is usually 2 to 3 days. Second knife rides for and additional $8.00 to cover excess valuation charges.
3 knives or more, we will determine the appropriate shipping, according to actual weight of shipment.

Call for optional shipping charges on next day or second day air service. If your purchase is time sensitive, please select 2nd Day Service or Next Day Service.
"Sheath only" orders may be shipped via USPS regular or priority mail.
These shipping charges only apply to the contigeous 48 United States. APO/FPO orders are shipped via USPS Priority mail.

Alaska and Hawaii: Orders will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, or FedEx, additional charges will apply. We will be happy to give you a shipping rate quote before your order is finalized and charged.

International shipments are handled via International Postal Priority, the recipient is responsible for any duties, tariffs, or taxes. Shipping charges will be the current Flat Rate International Postal rate at the time the order is shipped. Responsibility of the shipment transfers to the recipient once the package has left our hands.

Tips on how to choose your Legler Knife!
You can have any style Legler Knife in any color of dymondwood handle, or stabilized burl, with or without gemstones, and with or without engraving.
In the past, some folks have lamented that it's hard to decide, so here's a checklist of sorts:
Pick out the blade style first, paying strict attention to the dimensions given in the knife galleries, so that you will know what size knife you are looking at...the pictures attempt to show detail, not relational size! You may want to have a ruler handy.
Then decide what type or color handle that you would like to have on the style of knife that you have chosen; be sure to check out and read the "Handle Materials" page. Determine also, if you would like to have a Southwest Series handle, using various gemstones. On the folding knives, since every one of them is unique, you may want to decide on colors, that might interest you, then discuss actual lay-up possibilities with us!
For fixed blade knives, then decide if you want a leather sheath. Click on the leather sheath tab, and check out what Alice makes! We suggest her basketweave, for durability, but you may have plain, with or without a border, if you wish. Then decide if you would like to have your initials, and/or an animal imprint, or both (if the sheath is large enough for both!). Then decide on TAN or BLACK.. initials show up best on tan, but if you know you are hard on your equipment, choose black!

Gift Cards!
If that special date is just too close.... we can issue a very tasteful personalized gift card which advises the recipient that a handcrafted knife and/or sheath is on order for them, and that "good things come to those who wait!
Gift Cards are available for any ocassion you can think of, and are custom designed. You determine what you wish to order and the gift card is sent to you for presentation on the appropriate date.
Please note, if due to time constraints we must send the gift card via FedEx additional shipping charges will apply.
